Complex trades. Simple to settle.

Every asset class. Every format. Every deadline. Handled.

Post-trade operations are being squeezed from every direction. Exchanges are moving to near-24/7 trading.

Volumes keep climbing. Settlement windows keep shrinking. Firms know they need AI to keep up. But not at the cost of control and oversight.

Settlement timelines are decreasing and regulatory demand for transparency, auditability, and accountability is increasing. Frequently asked questions

Common questions about Post-Trade operations

Which asset classes and trade types does this cover? dropdown

The platform is asset-class agnostic and can handle FX, rates, credit, equities, fixed income, commodities, energy, and money markets, including complex structured products alongside vanilla trades. The Confirmations Agent itself is currently validated for FX and commodity OTC confirmations specifically, with other asset classes on the platform side already supported.

Is this for OTC trades only, or does it handle cleared and exchange-traded transactions too? dropdown

The platform isn't limited to OTC. It's built to handle other transaction types too, so cleared and exchange-traded flows can run through the same automation rather than needing a separate process.

Does Xceptor replace our existing confirmation and settlement systems, or does it sit alongside them? dropdown

Xceptor replaces those systems. Rather than adding another tool on top of what you're already running, it takes over the confirmation and settlement processing itself.

Can the platform generate outbound confirmations, or only process the ones we receive? dropdown

Yes. Outbound confirmations are generated through Xceptor's document generation capability, delivered via the SmartDX integration, so the platform covers both sides of the confirmation process, not just inbound extraction.

How does this connect to networks like SWIFT, MarkitWire, or DTCC? dropdown

Xceptor connects directly into the networks and infrastructure you already use for confirmation and settlement — including SWIFT messaging, and connectivity to brokers, clearers, and market utilities such as MarkitWire and DTCC. Trade data flows through automatically, so there's no manual re-keying between your systems and the network.

How accurate is the AI extraction, and what happens when it gets something wrong? dropdown

Xceptor's agentic framework runs each confirmation through multiple validated model calls rather than a single pass, and only returns a result once it's internally consistent. Every extracted field carries a confidence score and a source reference back to the original document. Anything below the approval threshold can be routed to a human for review rather than passed downstream automatically.

How is our data secured, and does anything leave our environment? dropdown

Xceptor's AI is deployed on Azure OpenAI, which brings built-in prompt injection defence, content screening, and anti-jailbreaking controls. Processing stays inside the Azure tenancy rather than exposing data elsewhere. Xceptor itself is ISO 27001 certified, UK-headquartered, and has been delivering SaaS to regulated financial institutions since 2003.

How long does implementation take? dropdown

It depends on what you're implementing. Adding the Confirmations Agent to an existing Xceptor process takes minutes for standard FX and commodity formats. There's no model training, labelling, or per-counterparty template build. Implementing the wider Post-Trade Operations platform is a different scope: timeline depends on the complexity of your process and the number of systems involved.

We already use Xceptor for Reconciliations (or Tax, or CLM) — what's involved in adding Post-Trade? dropdown

Confirmations is a new product that can be added directly to your existing Xceptor instance. New workflows will need to be built, since Post-Trade is a different process to what you're running today — but you're already familiar with how Xceptor works, which removes the learning curve a net-new customer would face.
